2006, 2008, 2009 and 2014, the Fruita
Fall Festival is the granddaddy of festivals on the Western Slope. The event
is celebrated on the last full weekend in September. This festival offers three
days of events including a parade, outhouse race, carnival, two stages of music and over 150 arts and crafts vendors. 2014 marks the 100th anniversary of its beginnings as the Cowpuncher's Reunion. The Centennial Celebration begins in January! Watch for monthly activities throughout the year.

Tire Festival, Fruita has an active community, also hosting riverfront concerts,
Thursday evening variety shows, a weekly farmer's
market, summer rodeos, Halloween Trick or Treat Street and Hometown Christmas
and Parade of Lights. There is even a festival celebrating dinosaurs - Dinosaur
Days put on by the Museum of Western Colorado.
